You may ask what is branding or what is a brand? In short, it is the sum of everything your business is in the mind of the consumer. To put it more plainly, every experience that the consumer has with your business good or bad builds the brand in their mind. When we think of brands, many think of brand names like Nike and Adidas, others may think of McDonalds, Target, or even Apple computers. These companies spend millions building brand recognition. They are only as good or as bad as the consumer preceives them.

Smaller businesses as well as larger businesses must introduce and reintroduce themselves to the consumer because the consumer doesn't know who you are. They don't know your company. They don't know the products you sell. They don't know your companie's customers'. They don't know your record or reputation.

One of the best ways to represent your company is through a logo. You
can express the colors the nature and overall feel of a business through it. This can be achieved by the graphics and fonts. Once you establish a logo make sure it is placed on everything the company does. This is a start of building a recognizable brand in the consumers minds.

What are your business cards and stationary saying? Is it saying, we are strong confident and can help you succeed? Or is it saying we are flimsy, weak and we will try but can't guarentee. Printing always need to be considered while designing.
Look at your website, answering service and email address. What are they
saying about your business? Would you do business with yourself? Are you attracting the right customers? Be consious of each point of contact with the consumer. Make sure they have a good experience and that it is representing your company. Remember every experience the consumer has with your company builds your brand good or bad.
